super smash bros. brawl
This game is GREAT. The first one in the series that I have played. I should thank nintendo for not putting out very many good games, if they had i wouldn't have played this. So thank you nintendo for the lack of quality on the Wii. But the games that are good are Great. this falls in that category. Much deeper of a fighting game than i had anticipated combos finisher the whole nine. the character selection is huge and the balance is pretty darn good. it does lean towards the button masher side and any given game a four year old can beat you but thats not to bad, it just adds to the number of people that can play makes the game very easy to pick up and play. but if you put the time in and learn the moves (there aren't that many) it should pay off. As far as the graphics go this is one of the if not the best looking game on the Wii, and still manages to hold a constant frame rate even online. It is pretty easy to find and create online matches as well. Bravo nintendo your first party games haven't lost a step. just keep them coming. And maybe bring back the nintendo seal of quality. Just a thought.

I still don't understand why people say it's not as good as Melee when Brawl has more characters, stages, goals, modes, and everything else and is basically the same game. Melee just was slightly faster paced. I don't see how that makes it better though.

I've been playing Super Smash Bros. since it came out for N-64 and I loved it then. When I heard Melee was coming out for Gamecube, I bought the console just for that game. and I did the same for the Wii and Brawl. Melee was my favorite game ever.. until Brawl! Now some people say that Melee is better than Brawl. I have my complaints too but I'm here to say "you are all blasphemous liars!!!" With the improved graphics, ability to record replays, snap pictures, the additional characters, items, stages, and modes of which to play, who could argue?
complaints:
I don't like that my character slips and falls at random!! Slower game play than Melee.
You have to go through the trouble of entering "Friend Codes" in order to enlist new competition and for MORE CONTROL OVER YOUR MATCHES. If you're playing against random opponents, you won't even see their names or be able to communicate with them at all. So, you won't be able to get together again after a well-played match . When playing with random people over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you can't play with multiple people on your console.

Gotta say even though I will be in the extreme minority I miss the original's simplicity. Still love both the sequels though.
