Lost Odyssey

Lost Odyssey - Xbox 360

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Repetitive gameplay
Awesome audio
Engaging story
Loads of content
Just plain fun
Guys must be nuts not to love this game.

First of all the 360 is getting more and more rpg's. This game is also made by the father of final fantasy with his new team, Mistwalker, my new favorite dev. This game has a feel of the old final fantasy formula. You know the one that works. The game makes you actually care about your characters. This game will put you to tears if you really let yourself in. And the game does a great job at that. The main thing about an rpg is the story. The story here rocks. The 1000 lost dreams are very fun and interesting to read.

This game does come in 4 disk but diehard fan's should not have to worry about that. Coming on 4 disk doesn't mean its a bad game. FF7 anyone? This game gets overlooked and its a shame. This game is a AAA for a jprpg. The only grip that many get is that the formula that they use is old school. Hell if it aint broke don't fix it. They do try to add a little twist to it though using a ring combat system. Another thing about this game. This game IS NOT EASY. The AI are very smart and will actually make you use strategy. Which to me is excellent. I hate having to grind my character and just press A over and over again because I just overpower them. No my friend, not this game. You do that, I gurantee 40% percent of the time you will die. This game just gets to you man, I love this game and can't wait for LO2. 5/5 from me. Do yourself a favor and check it out. If your a fan of jprpg's this won't dissapoint.

I haven't played this one yet, but I freakin' loved Blue Dragon, which was by the same guy and same developer. Yeah, I love Mistwalker too! I am glad he's making great games that Square Enix has for some reason left behind and refused to make since they only make RTS games these days, and they suck! I love the classic JRPG and you are right when you say, "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" So, I will take you advice and get this game. I just hope I can get the strategy guide still! The 360 is quickly becoming the console of choice for RPG's.
