I REALLY like this game, and what it did for the genre. It was only a few years ago that this genre REALLY took off an thanks to this title it is continuing its upward momentum. The drums are a huge hit for me and the set list is robust.

Still my biggest complaint is lack of bands/songs that I know and like. I also don't like the fact that I have to play the SAME SONGS over and over again in Tour mode in order to advance (there are only so many times I can play "learn to fly" before I go crazy).

All in all this is the epitome of a party game and perfect when I have friends over!

Hey man, I have this whole kit, Rockband, It is in fact the ultimate party and get-together game, but don't play it all the time it gets old quickly after playing the same songs over and over again, it is like playing a CD too much.

I agree with Ryan. The same happens when you beat Guitar Hero 3 or whatever and you go back to play the same songs over and over again. It's going to get boring. Rock Band IS definitely one to get, but I think you should just save it for the parties

this game is so much fun. has better music than guitar hero. but the problem was the guitar. right awya the whammy bar didnt work which sucks cause you need it for thoose extra points.

So all of you agree with me, since I said my biggest complaint is that these games have too few songs, and I end up playing the same song over and over again ;-)

This game is really great but I think the music sim genre is getting way too serious. I got GH2 which is great, but as a real guitar player I can't imagine spending almost $200 on a game when the whole point of it was to be fairly casual and loads of fun. Not that I am against hardcore gaming.
