I found this game alot of fun, and no I'm not new to FPS, I've played FPS's all the way back to DOOM the first. It is a fun game because it requires more thought than trigger finger blind action shoot-em up games *cough* Quake 3 *cough*, and its just a matter of personal preference some like the adrenaline and some are turned off by it. I like both to an extent, its more methodical and interesting to have to think rather than to just shoot anything that moves. There are ups and downs for UT2K3, I've heard people complain about no Assault Mode and it being replaced by Bombing Run, I hated the original UT and Quake 3, its just blind action, but it appeals to a certain person and they miss their assault mode damnit! I don't, and I don't care, this is a great game and deserves a little more attention and praise, it was made to be more appealing to a wider array of consumers and yet to keep its current fans loyal, it was a win-lose situation obviously, but it is still a Fantastic game. You aren't going to find a good review about it, they will give it a good rating, but gripe and gripe about this and that, or just tell you it sucks because its not a Remake of the original UT, its a great game, its fun, its addictive, it lacks in a few areas, as Every game does, don't trust the reviews by the pro's until you have played it yourself. The game is beautiful and has some of the downright neatest places to battle it out in, and when mastered, no bot, no multiplayer opponent, will ever gun you down. I recommend this game to computers that can handle it, and to people who want something new, get the demo, try it out, judge for yourself.
