American McGee's Alice

American McGee's Alice - PC

Welcome to Wonderland.

Who the hell is American Mcgee? Never heard of him before. Anyways, Mr Mcgee should keep making games like this. Cuz this one rocks. In Alice, Alice returns to Wonderland as a teen and Wonderland has become a twisted nightmare. The White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, and most importantly, the Queen are as twisted and deformed as the world they live in. For instance, the Cheshire Cat is seemingly anorexic, for his is nothing but skin and bones. Tatoos scar his jagged spine and earrings pierce through what little flesh is still clinging on to his broken body. That's what it's like. Alice is a hybrid of action, platform, and shooter. All genres are cleverly blended into this amazing title. The graphics are breath taking. From Alice's pre-teen figure, to the backgrounds covered with the blood of Alice's rivals, it's all good. The sounds are equally reckoned towards the graphics. Gorgeous blends from fantasy beats to quire selections. And it's all composed by Danny Elfman. The controls, though they take getting used to, are very easy to use. Most of all, this game is a lot of fun. Not for the faint of heart or people who think insanity is bad. Thank you for your patronage.
