WWE SVR 2008 - Has Me Beggging For No Mercy!!!

I recently purchased SVR 2008 for the PS2. I am saddened to report the game fails to meet most of my realtively reasonable expectations. Graphically speak the game looks great, probably the best looking wrestling video game to hit the market to date. Play wise. It is just horrible. I am huge video game fan. I love wrestling video games, dating back to my Pro Wrestling Video Game for the Sega Master System, through the WWE Title on Gensis and SNES. I then switched to the N64. I tended to not appreciate or like the the WWE games, as the Acclaim games were not to my liking. Then came the WWE Wrestlemania 2000 game and the WWE NO MERCY game. Those were great wrestling video games. Games that were simple to play. When I bought SVR 2008, I initially had my resevervations. I had felt with SVR 2007, the bar was being dropped. I though SVR 2006 was the second best wrestling video game I had ever played, next to NO MERCY. SVR 2008, absolutely has disgusted me toward THQ and the wrestling game franchise. Initially I was not upset the online mode was gone. The roster was horrbile, the load time too long. Then I got into the new grappling system. It is horrible. For starters you really have less moves at your disposal, and on top of that the less moves are harder to pull off. I don't about you, but I am ussually hardpressed to find any of my friend who want to take the time to learn how to play the game. I prefere being able to enjoy the fun factor. With No Mercy, the mgame had tons of options for CAW mode, your wrestler had less moves, but it was alright because you did not need too many moves, because you limitted move base was more then enough. Now we got Rampage Mode, and head bashing mode. Nice features, but features that really don't add much to the game. I also liked the General Manager mode in the 2007 game. This one in 2008 is horrible. The 24/7 worse. I can't stress enoguh how little patience I have for having to spend six weeks unlocking Stev Austin and the Rock, or just building my character to respectablility, through the mind numbing, glass chewing, 24-7 mode. My recommendation, tell your friends save you money, the game is horrible. Worst wrestling game since WCW Thunder! Sorry. I am gonna check out E-bay for Fire Pro Wrestling returns, I heard it is good!
