Something's Missing
With the X-Men: Legends series, there was something missing. The same holds true with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. The core group of Heroes (Capt. America, Spider-Man, Thor, and Wolverine) are all designed and handled well. Some of the other characters, however, leave something to be desired. Take, for instance, Luke Cage. Nice strength, but he isn't an interesting enough story to be considered an "ultimate" Marvel Superhero. Another something about this game that had me pretty P.O'ed about Marvel Nemisis is the absence of Characters such as The Punisher, Sabretooth, Juggernaut, the Kingpin, and others that have made Marvel so enjoyable. I would have loved to see Spider-Man fight along side Venom while wearing the Symbiote skin. Be that as it may, it was still a great game with an awesome story. Also, in true Legends fashion, the ending allowed for the sequel to be highly anticipated. Although long, Ultimate Alliance does a great job of keeping the player interested in the game for hours on end.
