Clock Tower 3
With the departure or Resident Evil from the PS2 world, a void needed to be filled. Enter Clock Tower 3. While most people might say "what happened to Clock Tower 1 and 2," I say this; what happened to Clock Tower 1 and 2? Anyway, don't worry about previous storylines, because the game doesn't seem to make any references to past CT games. The graphics are typical Capcom; superb looking Cut Scene cinemas, but the gameplay graphics are of a lesser quality. They are good, but nothing to write home about. You play Alyssa (not Milano, dangit) who returns from boarding school to find out what happened to her mother. Please try to get past the fact that Alyssa looks oriental and was born from British parents. The plot is predictable, but not boring. You will spend the better part of the game looking for keys, solving petty puzzles and running from "Subordinates." They are ruthless killers who have been executed and possesed by, well, I don't want to give too much away. You can't kill them, but you can use your holy water to stall them. You have to evade and hide from them until you reach the boss battles. The battles are easy yet satisfying, as you finally get some payback for being made to run around like a scared little girl. There is not alot of cussing, in fact I think the word "damn" is used only once, but brutally honest scenes of murder are depicted in this game. The game actually accomplishes what it wants and doesn't take long to do it. Rent it before you buy it.
