TimeSplitters 2

TimeSplitters 2 - PS2

The heir to GoldenEye is here

In 1997, people were blown away by Rare's revolutionary FPS GoldenEye. In 2002, publisher Eidos and developer Free Radical put out a game that surpassed the mighty GoldenEye's addictive multiplayer functions. In Time Splitters 2, you guide heroes of the past, present, and future to help stop the Timesplitters from taking over with the Time Crystals. The control scheme has a quick learning curve as it is somewhat close to that of GoldenEye. A lack of blood in the game is made up for by amazing effects, unique character models, and the best multiplayer functions to date. In the multiplayer options, you have the ability to create your very own stages to battle in. While there are only four environment tiles to choose from, the rooms and placeable items given make up for that small flaw. The map creator is somewhat similar to what you would find modding a PC game such as Rainbow Six 3. You can also create your very own mission objectives for your created map, which gives more gameplay to single player mode. The best thing is that you do not need friends over just to play it, as you can blast through every game on your own against AI controlled players. Elimination is by far the best option in the game, where you can set up a battle of 10+ players and give each a certain amount of lives. Once you've died the maximum amount of times, you are eliminated and the game will continue on with or without you until one is left standing. The story mode is exciting as well, you can even play through it co-op with a friend. With all of these great features; smooth graphics, excellent sound, and easy to learn controls. You will be on your couch for days trying to open up everything, eyes glued to the television screen.
