No Lowrider...
Smuggler's Run makes an attempt on putting fun in delivering contraband across borders. The game takes place in three borders of the U.S. (U.S. - Canada x2, Mexico). Gangs are hired to do jobs that earn you money (which are used as points, and only points. No customizations). You are a member of The Forgotten, and your rivals are The O' Grady's, Sierra Cartel, A20, and Quebecois. There are a large number of "jobs" for you to execute, and to keep up the action. The maps of the game are massive, and free-roaming. You also have the choice of 6 vehicles, but start out with two in the story mode. Graphics (4.0) - The terrain is beautifully crafted and is a large part of the game, but the vehicle's detail is dull and could have used more attention during production. Sound (3.0) - Sounds include annoying sirens, annoying voices, dull music, but good engines. This drags the game down far. Control (3.5) - In the options, you have a choice of prebuilt controls for your vehicle. However, the controls are weak none the less when driving. Sometimes the vehicle turns, and sometimes not... Gameplay (5.0) - Missions are in abundance and keep up the pace. There are also 2 other modes of play, including a free-riding through a level of your choice, and also an instant action game that puts you directly in a job... This is the only factor that saves this game.
