MLB '07 The Show
I just picked up this game a week or so ago and have drained the battery on my PSP several times over playing it. Like all games for the PSP I was hesitant to buy this game. I'm just never sure how they are going to translate to a handheld. I must say that I was pleasently suprised by MLB '07. The gameplay imediately feels comfortable. I think graphic wise it looks ok but I hoping for smoother lines. None the less the feel of a solid baseball game is there. The pitching is good and I founds it easy to learn. The hitting is fun and the guess the pitch option, if guessed correctly almost always gurantees a hit. It makes hitting on the harder settings a bit of a challenge. The fielding I thought was just ok. I felt that even though the players are in the general vacinity of the ball they're a little sluggish getting to it. I really felt that frustration when I ran to a fly ball and couldn't get the player to throw the ball fast enough to tag a player at the plate. The road to the show game play option is my favorite game mode. You create a player and play only the key moments of his carrer from spring training all the way to retirement. You are given tasks to complete by your manager and are awarded points to increase your atributes upon completion of the tasks. Do well and your headed to the majors struggle
