Stranglehold single player review
First things first, this is NOT an intelligent kind of game, just point and shoot, but it's done almost to perfection. The game's story is unimportant never really made me say OMG ( except that ONE time), the combat is awesome as bullets whiz by your head you hear the bullets hitting the stuff behind you, topnotch really, it's fun to pick up and play, put the main problem with the game is that while it;s fun, it's not a game that will impress you that much, after the first couple of levels it turns into an average game with amazing graphics and effects and some moments oozing with style and coolness. So to review: Graphics: the player models look great but the levels themselves ( and their destruct ability) are the star of the show. Plus the cool moves and physics within the game. Sound: the music does it job, never really noticed among the sounds of bullet fire and stuff blowing up, which are awesome. Controls: it handles fine but the sliding move can be tedious to use on anything else than rails. fun factor: a pick up play game that will impress you but not like other better games. So yes i would recommend it to people to at least rent it, but also to buy cause, sometimes you just wanna kill dudes with style.
