Halo 3 ODST Review

Before I begin I want to remind everyone that these are my opinions. Everything that i write is from my own perspective. So if you can get over the fact that you may disagree with things that i will write, read ahead.

Alright, So the expansion to Halo 3 has Finally come out since the year or two of extreme hype. But will it live up to expectations? In my opinion, maybe. Maybe, because depending on the person playing the game, they can decide whether or not it has live up to THEIR expectations. For me, It did for a while until i actually started getting deeper into the story.

The story takes you back before the beginning of Halo 3 and you are a lost Odst roaming a city looking for clues to find your lost squad mates. Each mission you play is a flashback excluding the last mission. This to some people will turn them off right away since you really are not progressing into the story like in past Halo games. I found the free roam feature more of a gimmick. It does not need to be in there and would be better without it. Since when did halo ever need free roam? The missions themselves are pretty fun but get old quickly. How do they get old? It really isnt the fact that you do the same thing over and over, but its the fact that the variety is small but varied. Its nothing we haven't seen before, and the game will stick to that saying strongly. In the last mission, You'll have to play through a lame and unexciting rescue and escort mission. That's all I will say to not spoil anything. And i dont know about you but i was pretty pissed at the ending. All In all the story is at least 5 to 8 hours long depending how you decide to play it.

Thankfully Bungie included Fire Fight. Basically what it is a Horde / Nazi zombies game type. But it mixes it up into its own thing. While playing, Skulls will be activated to keep the gameplay feel fresh and new each round. You can play Fire Fight and The Campaign with up to 4 people locally or through Xbox Live. Without Fire fight, I dont think this game would be worth even 30 bucks. And that brings me to the next problem.

WHAT IS WITH THE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE POINT? THEY WANT YOU TO PAY 60 BUCKS FOR ODST! I WOULDNT MIND IT IF IT HAD MORE CONTENT, LONGER STORY, AND A BETTER STORY. Really all you get for Odst is a short campaign, fire fight, and a multiplayer disc. I wouldnt even minded if Odst had its own take on multiplayer, with ODST weapons and Realism. It would be a nice change of pace for the halo multiplayer. BUT ALL YOU GET, IS A DISC WITH THE EXACT. SAME. CONTENT. THAT HALO 3 HAS MINUS THE STORY. But you do get 3 exclusive maps with are worth a normal map pack price.

So really, Get this game if you really know what this game is about. But I even knew what it was about and was disappointed. But overall The game has great multiplayer (no surprise since its the same stuff from halo 3) It can get very intense and edge of your seat action, and has a great Fire Fight Mode. But this is a STRONG rental first kind of game.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - PS3

Pros Cons
Fantastic multiplayer
Uncharted 2 Best In its Class

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Multiplayer Beta was just plain awesome. Every time I booted up the game I couldn't wait to get online to enjoy some intense action. Once they opened the beta to everyone it made it that much more fun to play with your friends. Now it saddens me that the beta is over with because now I have to wait till 12midnight to get my hands on the game itself to get to play again. But this time I can't wait to play the single player. It looks so sweet; it's a shame that Uncharted can't be enjoyed by everyone. Because this game is a must have for any game player out there. This game really pushes my ps3 to the limits the fans on my ps3 are running at max on this one. I am glad it's getting cooler out because cracking the windows really helps cool my room down. So my PS3 can stay cool handling the intense graphics Uncharted 2: Among Thieves with throw at it. Thanks once again to Naughty Dog for releasing another epic game like this, you make $60 worth it.

The Best Game Ever Made. Period.

I am going to make this very short.
For over a Decade there has only been ONE game that I called "The Best Game Ever Made", and that game was Ocarina of Time. For over 10 years I have played games that have come close, but none have dethroned the number one spot from Zelda. Games like Mass Effect on the 360, and Metal Gear Solid 4 came so close, but not quite close enough. Nothing came close enough. Until Now.
Uncharted 2 is, and I mean this, The Best Game I have Ever Played. There is no question about it. And this is coming from a Non Fanboy. I would say the same thing if it came out for the 360, but it didn't. The PS3 is now home to the Greatest piece of entertainment I have EVER laid eyes upon. Uncharted 2 is perfection on a disk.
Why is it so good? Uncharted 2 follows a simple rule that makes the difference between a game, and an experience. Uncharted 2 makes sure that YOU are part of the experience. It wont cut away to a movie scene and show your Nathan Drake doing something that you yourself can't do in the game. It won't cut away to a movie scene when an awesome action sequence plays out either. No, it makes sure that YOU are a part of everything. If a train derails and comes flipping down the tracks while pieces of it's body are chipping off and explosions keep it gunning directly toward you, you feel like you are actually there because the game manages to make it look like you are watching a movie, but at the same time, you still have control of your character.

There are dozens and dozens of scenes like this. Scenes that no other game has even attempted to do. And your heart will race and a smile will go from here to eternity when you play this game and experience what I can not put into words.

If you ever wondered what it felt like to be in an action movie with a fantastic plot, characters, and action, there is no Equal. Uncharted 2 is the Best Game Ever Made.

The Best of The Best

With each new title Insomniac finds a way to one-up themselves they have truly learned how to master episodic gaming. With each new Chapter per say having its own little story while still contributing to the Whole Bigger story it makes the games needed like a good book and at the end of it you just cant wait for the next one to come out =)

Champions Online - PC

Pros Cons
Loads of content
Awesome Character Creation

With literally billions of combinations for your characters creation Champions Online Stands out as a great MMORPG for some like myself who never felt the urge to play mmo's like warcraft or the like, this game has brought players from other genre's into the fold and i can tell you its been one fun ride all the way. Honestly i don't no where to start the game has it all , personally i never played city of heroes but i heard it was pretty popular, the only cons i can think of is the price to play with a game purchase and normal subscription you are going to shell out $80 plus just to get online and play which for me came to around 50 cents a days. But the game has been great and they have changed the game alot since its launch so its now better than ever. Alot of harsh reviews out there but none really make any real good points and coming from someone that has played the game alot the graphics are incredible aside from some props like cars and stuff which is dumb and who cares, the powers special abilities and characters are breath taking. i have loved every moment online with this rpg.

Best Game of All Freaking Time!!!!!

this game truly delivers. it has an amazing story that surrounds a historical figure and a mystery hundreds of years old. the dialogue is one of the best parts of this game. Nolan North does an A+++ job as Nathan Drake. the banter in this masterpiece is actually funny and i laughed through it all. the gunfights have been polished from the original uncharted to a point where it needed multiplayer. speaking of which is the second best part of the game besides the story mode.i already have the platinum trophy and a Marco Polo skin for the multiplayer. i never knew he had such a sexy skeleton. anyone who doesn't like this game obviously hasn't played it. this game is something i will be playing even when there is a PS9 and i am 72. buy this now.

Just Plain Fun!

This game is addictive. Its one of those games that once you turn it on, you do not want to turn it off for nothing, not work, not plans you may have had, not even family. Totally kidding, everyone knows family is more important than a video game. ;). Anyways, from the large arsenal of weapons, to the engaging story, split between ratchet and clank this game keeps you hooked. I could not find any problems with this game. The camera kinda acts funny at times, but nothing to worry about really. The graphics are crisp and clean, and if you didn't know better you think you were directing a movie almost. I definattly rate this game a 5/5. Its worth the 65$ price tag and you should positively get it today!! Right now, like..right now, go get it before you finish reading this sentance. God damn you, i knew you wouldn't go get it before reading this..

The Ultimate Version of "Ninja Gaiden II".

If you're an action fan and have a Sony PlayStation 3, then you owe to yourself to pick up this nifty revamp of the ultraviolent XBOX 360 title "Ninja Gaiden II'. If you've ever played it before, the first thing you'll notice is the omission of gore. In that game, blood sprayed continously as master ninja Ryu Hayabusa shredded up his enemies into bloody chunks using all sorts of wicked weapons. Beheadings and severed limbs are still a casual sight, but the gore has been replaced with a lame blue smoke. There is some blood that still appears, but it's of the 'T' rated nature. I found this version's 'M' rating to be quite questionable. Maybe it's really because of the constant killing, I dunno. However, the other changes to the game are for the better. Numerous improvements and additions have been made including online battles, but I'll get to that later.

Let me first say, that If you love hack ' slash titles, than you'll have a grand time with "Sigma 2". It's not innovative in the least, but it's up there with "Devil May Cry" and "God of War" when it comes to action. In addition to all the demonic monsters, you'll fight commandos, mechs, ninjas, dragons and more. You can mix up normal and heavy attacks with button combinations. And your weapons are right out of "Soul Calibur", they include the Dragon Sword, twin katanas, tonfu sticks, a staff, Wolverine-like claws and a Scythe presumably stolen from the Grim Reaper (amongst others). Each can be upgraded as you progress in the game. You can also use shurikens, a bow and arrow and a giant cannon to whittle away the enemies health. There is also magic attacks that can be utilized when the action gets too hot.

The biggest addition is online where you and a fellow ninja can play cooperatively. You'll team up in 30 different arenas to fight a constant onslaught of enemies. Many conclude with boss fight. Before each game begins, you can choose your character, costume and weapons. At the end, you'll be given your statistics and the option to save a recorded film of the fight. In fact, when you beat the single player game, you'll be given the option to play each level individually and have the same option to record. You can upload and download recorded fights on the internet. Other additions includes more detailed graphical textures, an improved camera, re-designed levels, additional bosses, an extra weapon, no slowdown, a better upgrade system and three new chapters where you control three other female warriors. They are "Ninja Gaiden" veterans Momiji, Ayane and the buxom blonde Rachel (the hottest video game babe ever). A while there are no longer "Tests of Valor" and less bad guys on screen at a time, the enemy A.I. has been amped up considerably. They dodge and weave player's attacks more so than their 360 counterparts. The game offers five difficulty levels, so you could spend lots of time mastering your inner ninja.

The new cutscenes which introduce the new bosses, levels and sections are very well done and add to the excitement of the game. If you love the of "The Matrix" and "Metal Gear Solid"/"Devil May Cry" cutscenes, then you'll be at home with "Sigma 2"s cinematics. However, the story is still one-dimensional, so don't expect a Krato's-like tale. Overall, it is one of the best action games you'll ever play on the PS3. If you can't wait for "God of War III", than "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2" will seriously whet your appetite.

Alright. It could've been better if it let you save instead of starting at the beggining of each level when you die.
