A large survey of the Japanese public has turned up some interesting perceptions towards Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo's next-gen efforts. The results are found in Japanese gaming bible Famitsu Weekly, issue number 880.

For starters, 40.9% believed that the PlayStation 3's price would fall somewhere between 30,001 and 40,000 Yen (U.S.: $256.50 to $342.00).

Interestingly, respondents felt that the Xbox 360's price tag of 39,795 Yen, or roughly $340.00, was "a little expensive."

When it came to Nintendo, 51.2% of the respondents guessed that the mysterious Revolution console would have the lowest price, somewhere in the neighborhood of 20,001 to 30,000 Yen (or $171.00 to $256.50).
