Summary
Game Description
LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation 3 is a game about exploration and creativity. But you won't be exploring intricate castles or haunted dungeons, you'll be creating them. Players must explore their ability to move objects and "patch" them together to form any number of structures, machines, levels etc. Throughout LBP, game players will be challenged with obstacles and puzzles that will enhance your creative abilities. Players can also share their creations with others through the PlayStation network on the PS3.

LittleBigPlanet is one of those games where you hope for the best but know that there are plenty of things that can go wrong. For the most part, it delivers on the fun with only a few gripes along the way.
The loose story mode does not make a lot of sense but isn't really needed as you run around the beautiful levels created by the developers and makes you say "wow, how did they do that". The levels start out simple but work their way up in difficulty so much that the last few levels are a real challenge to beat and very difficult to clear without dying. All of the story levels are playable online and you will need a couple of buddies to get everything in the level. Some puzzles are only designed for 2-4 players and encourage you to go online to beat them. Acing a level (can't die) and collecting all the prize bubbles adds to your materials and costumes.
The create mode is overwhelming at first, but there are a lot of tutorials that show you how to use many of the different parts. Some people will find this frustrating, but creating and publishing a level is very rewarding. When published, other users get to play through your creation, rate it, describe it and level comments for you.
Overall, LittleBigPlanet gets points for trying something new and having a ton of replay value. There is some frustration along the way, but it is well worth it in the end.

I was way too pumped for this game. I was let down by the every aspect of the sound, the sounds, music and most importantly the narrator. I'm sure it's fun but I can't get over the narrator and the need to go through every tutorial.
Really, really, good game!

I see it at GameStop, I think, "It's a baby game, don't waste your money." I buy Dead Space, good choice. a couple days later, I'm at GameStop, I see it, I think, "I should rent it first." But my dumb instincts buys it. Will never regret it, ever! This game has great online, and way better map editing then Far Cry 2.creating your character and pod is one of the best parts of the game, too! Even if you don't do online, single player is great, too.
But this is mainly for the people who think this is a baby gae, it's not!
Awesome Game

I have played this for a week straight have found it to be one of the best games I have ever played. I do like RPGs, FPS and sports games. it isn't that it is a kiddie game (not that I blame people for thinking that)....but it is very difficult to make a good working level. I worked for many hours trying to perfect it and just when I think it is good my daughter comes along and "beta tests" it so to speak and points out the physics being wrong. so yes it is a next gen platformer and yes the graphics are amazing (every material looks like it should be)....I do think it will be "game of the year"......as for Gears of War2 I didn't like the first one because it was way to small...so why would this one be any better?
so to each his/her own I reccomend this to anyone that has liked the following: ratchet and clank, mario, crash bandicoot....even tomb raider (for it's puzzles). it also is great for more than one person and you can only complete every level fully if you have at least 2 people (4 people are required near the end
