Strategy Guide: Shinobi

In this ProStrategy Guide, we show you vital techniques to make you a ninja master and give you the lowdown on how to unlock secret characters, stages, and more!

Basics
Air Fighting
One of the toughest, yet effective, uses of the Stealth Dash is performing the move while you're in the air in conjunction with the Sword Attack. In addition to destroying airborne enemies, aerial Stealth Dash/Sword Attacks enable you to cross over large gaps and reach otherwise inaccessible areas. This technique is also helpful when doing battle with large monsters, such as the two-headed ogres that appear in the later stages of the game. While it sounds daunting at first, "air fighting" can quickly become second nature if you keep the commands straight and keep your cool.

Air Fighting in Action
Get close to a group of airborne enemies, jump into the air, and then press and hold Lock-on-keep Lock-on held throughout the confrontation.

When the targeting ring appears on a foe, tap Stealth Dash, then tap Sword Attack, and then alternate between Stealth Dash and Sword Attack to hack the first foe to pieces.

The targeting ring should automatically go to the next enemy. Tap Stealth Dash, then tap Sword Attack, and then alternate between Stealth Dash and Sword Attack to kill the next foe.

Repeat the process until all enemies are defeated.
