Review: Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
The Miracle Boy redeems himself with a solid ride on this PS2 BMX sequel.
The sequel to Acclaim?s disappointing BMX rider is actually a refreshing surprise?it puts back the ?miracle? into the Miracle Boy?s reputation by being a top-notch freestylin? cyclist for the PS2. New to Mirra 2 is a whole new set of crazy stunts called modifiers. While the controls are reminiscent of the first Dave Mirra?a bit sluggish and sometimes unresponsive?the ability to execute this glut of aerial acrobatics is joyfully finger numbing. The new visuals make riding with Mirra even more pleasant, while the eclectic mix of songs also adds to the BMX flavor nicely. Even though it?s the only BMX game for the PS2 to date, Dave Mirra 2 nevertheless mixes a wealth of great features to make it worth your time.
