Gran Turismo 3 is undoubtedly the most anticipated racing game for the PlayStation 2, promising to mix the real-life car physics found in the first two versions with sharper visuals and brand new features. Already, the demo illustrated these-smooth car models handled without fault, and the only available level, which is a track through the forest, displayed no draw-in and beautiful lighting. There was also an addition of two new cool camera angles: front and back bumper.
At its release, GT3 will have 150 fully licensed cars; 15 tracks including two new courses: Monte Carlo and Tokyo Racing Circuit; weather conditions like fog, heat-waves, and rain; and a brand new soundtrack that'll include a mix of big-name bands and up-and-coming hits. Additionally, up to six people will be able to play at once using the I-link cable. Also expect a brand new set of license tests and smarter AI opponents where cars will actually tailgate or cut you off depending on how aggressive (or non-aggressive) you drive. Stay tuned for more updates.
