Kessen is set to wow US audiences come the PS2 launch, but the Japanese market is already preparing itself for the follow-up.

Kessen is set to wow US audiences come the PS2 launch, but the Japanese market is already preparing itself for the follow-up. The original is a strategy game set in Feudal Japan, with sweeping field battles focused mainly on strict realism. The sequel takes things back to familiar Koei territory in a Romance of the Three kingdoms vein, with even bigger battles and weapons, both traditional and fantastic. On top of that, the visual effects during scenes are awesome. It's a sure bet we'll eventually see Kessen II make its way to our shore sometime next year.
