Update: Virtua Fighter 4
Sega?s premier fighter sets its sights on the PlayStation 2. The latest details inside.
New details have surfaced on the much-anticipated rival to Tekken 4. Virtua Fighter 4 will feature new modes not available in the arcade like Training and Original. The Training feature basically allows to practice their moves without losing energy, and Original mode sports an enhanced AI function that plays at the level of the player so even beginners will not be overwhelmed.
The arcade version featured a grading system that ranked your skill level, and the PS2 version will have a modified version that works through your memory card. Sega claims that the home port will be identical to the coin-op, so it looks like PS 2 owners will be in for a visual feast. The current release date for Virtua Fighter 4 is January 30 in Japan and Sega is expected to make an announcement for the U.S. date soon.
