Hands-On: Gitaroo-Man
The name might sound weird, but Gitaroo-Man might just make sweet music on the PS2.
In this newest incarnation of a music/rhythm game, you?ll play as U-1, a descendant of legendary hero Gitaroo-man who is drawn into a battle between good and evil. The preview version wasn?t hard to follow after a few tries; like PaRappa?s, the gameplay was about hitting certain buttons with precise timing, but another challenge stemmed from the use of the analog stick. Already, the visuals were colorful and vivid with a lot of action going on at all times, while the music tantalized the ears with orchestral tunes.
