Sega and GamePro got together a while back to put on a sweeping Virtua Fighter 4 Contest.

Sega and GamePro got together a while back to put on a sweeping Virtua Fighter 4 Contest. Thousands of gamers entered online on GamePro.com and via mail entries?and four lucky grand prize winners were randomly chosen to fly out to San Francisco (all expenses paid courtesy of Sega, including free hotel stay for 3 nights, $500 spending money, and roundtrip flight for each winner and a guest) to compete in Sega?s VF4 Fight Club. The lucky winners were: Ryan Kallok of Youngstown, OH; Joshua Peters, Springfield, MD; Anton Do, Irvine, CA; Alex Cruz, San Antonio, TX. To top things off, the grand prize winners competed by playing the VF4 arcade game on March 11, 2002 at the Fight Club in S.F..

The Fight Club event was attended by many industry professionals who witnessed a live Wing Chun demonstration and a speech from series creator Yu Suzuki. The final winner was Joshua Peters, who won a full size VF4 Arcade unit signed by Yu Suzuki!
