Strategy Guide: Ecco the Dolphin - Blades in Motion

Objective: You must find the right places to use Ecco's sonar before reaching the exit.

When you start this level, just swim down the pipe to reach the shark area (don't forget to pick up the vitalit floating in this room). You can bypass the strong current here by swimming close to the walls. Pick up the Sonar power-up floating above one of the pipes crossing the room and dash into the circular room with the glass walls. Find the crack in the glass and use your sonar to break it (depending on the angle Ecco is swimming, it may take two or three hits). Swim down past the blades until you reach the first straight tube. Look for the crack here and use your sonar on it to exit the tube. Grab both the Sonar and Endurance power-ups and head back into the tunnel. The next section of the tube has a crack on the floor. Follow the tube from the outside in the direction the tube was taking you until you find the hatch on the floor. The hatch is the entrance to the boss area.

The Boss
This is a simple fight once you know what you are doing. Start the battle by touching the glowing orb in the middle of the room. As soon as you have control of Ecco, swim down to the floor and locate the air pocket. Pay attention to the boss' pattern and use it to your advantage. You must dash attack the boss' breast plates three times to defeat it. After the fight, the boss will open the way for Ecco to exit the level.
