Strategy Guide: Ecco the Dolphin - Shrine of Controversy

Vitalits

  1. Inside the Circle shrine
  2. Look for it near the control valve
  3. Near the Mover shrine
  4. At a dead end inside the tunnel
  5. Inside the Crimson shrine (in the well)

Objectives: Bring the three dolphins together to unlock the Temple and obtain the harness.

This is one of the deepest and darkest levels in the game but don't panic! There is an air pocket in the ceiling of every shrine. You'll meet a dolphin swimming around each shrine, and your mission is to find out what each dolphin needs before they will follow you to the main temple.

Crimson
Talk to the Crimson dolphin to find out what is lost. Find the tunnel entrance below the shrine and follow it until you arrive in a room that has a red river running through it. Ecco must swim in it until his fins are red. Talk to the Crimson dolphin again and he will follow you to the temple.

Circle
This one is simple enough. Find the valve that is spewing the green liquid (careful, it is toxic to Ecco) and close it. To close the valve, nudge it slowly for a full turn. When you are finished, talk to the Circle dolphin and lead him to the temple.

Mover
Talk to the baby dolphin swimming in front of the tunnel below the Mover shrine. If you follow him into the tunnel, he will lead you to the Prime Mover. You must defeat the Prime Mover before she will join you by the temple (three hits should do the trick). Meet her outside the shrine after the fight and she will follow you to the temple.

To obtain the harness, just have Ecco swim into it.
