Strategy Guide: Ecco the Dolphin - Trial without Error

Vitalits

  1. The mother dolphin is looking for her three kids. Find them and she will give you a vitalit as a prize.
  2. Look for it behind a rock near several plants.
  3. It's near the Vigor power-up behind a rock.
  4. As soon as you enter the shark tank look around the entrance of the cave and you should be able to spot this one.
  5. This one is hard to spot. Just check below the octopus.

Objectives: Free the dolphin trapped by the five sharks in the shark tank.

The Trapped Dolphin
You must help this guy if you want to find the exit in this level. He will show you the way out after you kill all the sharks and free him (use the Vigor power-up hidden in a crevasse in the back of the pool the dolphin is hiding in). You will have to meet up with him in front of the tall rocks in the main pool where he will point something out to you. You must use the Vigor power-up in the middle of the pool to break the rock and open a hole on the ocean floor (the rock you need to hit has a darker tip). Explore the hole without getting too close to the octopus, then swim back out and talk to the dolphin to have him follow you into the hole. Once you're both in the hole, talk to the dolphin one more time and he will distract the great octopus while you swim into the cave and out of the level.

Find the baby dolphins

  1. This baby is hiding behind the large rock slab in the main pool. You'll have to catch him before he'll agree to go back to his mother.
  2. You'll find this baby hanging out in the dark cave. Recruit some glow fish to go in with you and talk to him.
  3. Find the hammerhead sharks and you will find this baby (he is swimming in the same area).

Trial without Error (revisited)
You must find the rock that looks like a crocodile's mouth (check map). Pick up the Sonar power-up at the end of the waterway and break the rock formation inside the crocodile's mouth.
