Maraca madness is making its way from the arcades to the Dreamcast this fall. Samba De Amigo, Sega's maraca-shaking rhythm and music game, is set to boogie in two weeks. You can play Samba with the regular Dreamcast gamepad, using the digital D-pad for the left hand maraca, and the X,Y,A, and B buttons for the right maraca, but the best (and most fun) way to play is with the maraca controllers, they'll retail separately for a hefty $79.99. The game features a selection of bouncy Latin beats composed just for the game, but it also has a few recognizable tunes like remixes of Macarena and A-Ha's anthem from the 80's, Take On Me. The gameplay has you follow the visual cues onscreen with your maracas. You need to hold them in the right location and shake them on the beat to score points. The game also asks you to hold a pose on occasion, making the game ideal for parties. Get ready for lots of lambada when Samba de Amigo takes the stage on October 17th.
