Sega fans whose loyalty dates back to the Genesis will remember Ecco the Dolphin, and now Sega's putting together a new 3D adventure for everyone's favorite bottlenose. In Defender of the Future, Ecco must reclaim the stolen dolphin-power that has been scattered throughout the world's oceans and restore the former dolphin/human paradise. Ecco will swim through massive high-res worlds, each with its own theme. Sci-fi writer David Brin lends his pen to make sure that the new Ecco has the best storyline of the series, and the soundtrack will feature some incredible ambient sounds and ocean-inspired music. Ecco will swim into stores in late July.
