About Me

Hmm what is there to know about me? Was born in and Live in Australia. Been to England, Thaliand, Singapore and lived in Ireland for 6 years. Like video games. Like sports and am seriously into my weight trainning. Trying to get those 24 inch pythons BROTHER! Lol jk. As you can tell from that I am a big wrestling fan. My first console I owned was a SNES. So i've been around the block. So far Ive owened a SNES, Playstation, N64, Gameboy, Gameboy Advanced, Playstation 2, Xbox 360, PSP and now my Wii!. As soon as Tekken 6 or MGS 4 comes out I'm buying a PS3 its that simple.

The Irish take action, should you?

So here we are waist deep in the now current generation and quite alot has happened has it not? Nintendo was once frowned upon is now the king of gaming again. Sony the company that everyone thought was pretty much invinceable (myself included) is now just picking up the pieces of its shattered, now very fragile ego. Unfortunatly though it seems my personal favourite console of this generation isn't too crash hot either. If there's anything thats truely been consistant in this generation its Microsoft's Xbox 360 hardware failures. I personally have had my 360 die on me twice. Before this gen I've NEVER had a console die on me, now the 1st time is excusable by the fact that hey as technology grows it gets more complex blah blah blah, but a second time? You're f*cking kidding me right? I paid $630 (Australian, I'm aussie for those that don't know) for this thing and now I have to repair it AGAIN?

So why do I keep coming back? Why do I even bother? Simple, MS has me by the balls when it comes to choice of games. The Xbox 360 has both qaulity and qauntity in its game libary. The Wii is just starting but to be honest most of the games aren't catered to my taste which isn't a shot at the system at all, there's some awesome games. The PS3 is too far between when it comes to must have exclusives ( i can count them on one hand) and the soon to be released ones well I think again I counted them all on one hand. So yes there's a 360 hardware issue we all know it and even the most hardcore MS fans can't deny the REDICULAS percentage that is 33% of all 360's fail, whats worse is its been reported that MS could of known this BEFORE launch, they were out to be beat Sony apparently but honestly was it worth it?

Apparently not says a Irish gaming magizine they've had enough, if you read the article that I linked to you before this blog started you'll know their situation and whether you think their idoits or not you got to admire them for standing their ground. To be honest after reading this article I can't help to say I can't blame them. This 360 situation really is unacceptable and you can make all the Sony jokes you want or make fun out of Nintendo and its kiddy Disney like image but they make reliable consoles. How many times have you heard that a PS3 died or a Nintendo Wii overheated? I've yet to hear it. Yet time and time again I hear this and that about the 360.

So by now you wondering if this blog is more than a bitch about my 360 woes and admiration for a irish gaming publication and it is, I want to ask you all a question and at the same time make a plea to Microsoft. My plea is short and simple. Microsoft, you've almost done everything right in this gen. From stepping up xbox live, to selling a next gen console at a decent price and alot more. What made the PS2 so great for me was its constant growth of great games with AAA exclusives, you've seen that and clearly applied it to the 360 that is flat out awesome. But what you've failed to do in you're rush to release your console is make a reliable one. Please for everyones sake and their wallets take your damn time and learn from your manufactoring mistakes. You've lost quite a bit of money and have STILL yet to turn a profit in your gaming division. If you had taken you're time you might be making profit right now so at least think of that.

As for my question to you guys here it is. Whats your opinion on this whole ordeal? Honestly put you're bias opinions aside and look at this from a customer prespective. Is this acceptable or should someone or some people from MS be fired right about now?
