Reasons Why I Love Gaming

I tend to obsessively do things...

So I most certainly get burnt out after a time. For example, I decided to quit eating steak for a while. However, that wasn't good enough so I completely became a vegetarian. Why? Mostly because I wanted to prove that I could. I'm no longer a vegetarian, although I'll keep things that I learned from the experience for the rest of my life. A few years ago, back in good ole' 2006 I think, I came out as being *gasp* a gamer. Could I just play video games and leave it at that? Heck no, I had to throw myself into it and join Gamepro and the whole nine yards. ^_^ However, that too slowly fell away as I began coming here less frequently. I don't know if it is because video games will always be more than just a phase to me, or if it's that they've been a part of my life since I was a little girl... but I decided to write this blog in to my love of gaming and the things that I can always count on. Perhaps this blog is also a reawakening of KD (after a year of sleeping on the forums).

1. Boys may come and go, but video games will always stay.
The sims have been there for me since my first boyfriend... and I can still count on it today in the newest edition. Sims3 has been rocking my socks for a while now. I love it!

2. Being a gamer, gives you an excuse to buy a new PC.
I have a new gaming desktop. Why did I buy it? Well after my laptop barely failed the requirements to play Sims3, it was either take the game back or get a new computer. The choice apparently wasn't a difficult one. >_< haha, plus Diablo3 is on it's way!!! (and my little laptop would have piddled its pants for sure trying to handle that.

3. Where else could you show off your nerdy/techy side and be a hero?
*Note: the xbox360 on the left has recently been replaced by my beautiful new PC in the Guardian case. All specs can be provided upon request if anyone wants to drool over my PC. ^_^

4. No matter how you forsake them, video games will always take you back. I didn't play for all of last year, during my senior year of college, but my consoles forgave me! *sniff* They've always been there through thick and thin.

5. Gaming could be a very secluded world, but it also brings together people you would never meet otherwise. This would be where I give a shoutout to all my friends that I've made over the years. I would make a list, but then I might forget someone and get yelled at. >_< hehe, you know who you are!!
