- The Sims 3 posted on 6/2/2009
- When I first started playing The Sims 3, it was seven o'clock at night. When I next looked up from my computer to check the time, it was 7:30 - the next morning. That's when I knew that, once again, I was hooked on the Sims.

- Defense Grid: The Awakening posted on 5/12/2009
- It's amazing what a little touch up in graphics and sound can do for a tower defense gameplay-based title. And Hidden Path Entertainment's Defense Grid: The Awakening is a prime example of that sudden transformation of taking a unoriginal. well-known style of video game and turning it into a masterpiece for your PC

- An incredibly zany yet infectiously fun study of what happens when an irresistible force meets an an army of unmovable flesh-eating objects, Plants vs. Zombies proves that the masterminds at PopCap know how to take an original idea and run with it, producing addictive, and oftentimes hilarious results.

- Dark Sector (PC) posted on 4/20/2009
- Almost exactly one year has passed since Dark Sector first arrived on store shelves for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Why this PC port has taken so long is anyone's guess, but don't mistake the delay for any relation to new content or big gameplay tweaks, because this re-release is about as copy-and-paste as they come. But that's not entirely a bad thing.

- Empire: Total War posted on 3/26/2009
- The 18th century was one of monumental change. It ushered in an age of sustained European colonialism, revolutions in America and France and ultimately a vast and almost constant amount of warfare. With this knowledge, it's no surprise then that Creative Assembly has selected this time period for their newest Total War game, and in many ways its one of the best decisions they've ever made as a production studio. However not everything with Empire will please fans.

- The Hunter posted on 3/17/2009
- A beautiful and realistic experience from the ground up, The Hunter isn't just a game for enthusiasts of the genre, much less fans of the sport. It's a title that embraces the love that developer Avalanche Studios feels for the game, and passes it on to its subscribers with grace, class, and unmatched authenticity.

- Jutland posted on 3/2/2009
- The First World War was more than just combat on land; it also had an active naval war to which Storm Eagle Studios has magnificently recreated in this stellar simulation.

- Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II posted on 2/19/2009
- Along with its three expansion packs, the first Dawn of War was a great RTS title that gave players the ability to play almost all of the major races in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. But the game has gotten a little stale, especially when compared to the developer's follow-up effort, Company of Heroes, a title that I reviewed a while back and absolutely loved. I wasn't sure if Relic could top the World War II themed classic but Dawn of War II manages the impossible: the continuation of the Space Marines' saga usurps Company of Heroes and claims the RTS throne.
