An all-new golfing adventure is slated to assault your home this summer by the folks at Nintendo. While the idea of a golfing game with Nintendo?s flagship characters may sound like an exercise in abject boredom, the execution is the key to the wild success of the Mario Golf franchise. Mario ranks high on the leader board for bringing his signature charm and mad golfing skills to the otherwise reserved world of golf.
In this new chapter, Peach, DK, Mario, and some of their other rivals compete for eagles while eschewing bogies as much as humanly possible. Featuring special courses designed specifically with the Mario-motif in mind (as well as some more traditionally designed courses), players can expect new hazards in the form of warp pipes, Chain Chomps, and Piranha Plants. For those with friends, Mario Golf will support up to four players for the ultimate day on the green. Novices need not worry as Mario Golf parades a special beginner mode that will allow a partial automation of the club swinging effort, while experts can rejoice in a more refined manual method.
