This game has to be among the best Game Boy Advance Games that was released. It took many ideas from the first Final Fantasy Tactics Advance from the Playstation and added a few quirks to the gameplay and tweeked the job system. First off what I enjoyed was the job system. You were able to choose from many diffrent jobs, and you had to have your characters gain experience from many diffrent jobs in order to unlock new jobs. Along with that, when you change jobs you can have previous skills from a former job with that current character. It is very helpful when you want characters that specialize, like a White Mage/Sage, can heal and attack. There is no point in having various jobs without skills that define a job, and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance has many skills for these various jobs, and also has a unique way for you to aquire these abilities. In Final Fantisy Tactics Advance you have to have certian weapons to learn new abilities, and then you have to gain points from battle to fully learn an ability. That way to learn abilities is a bit annoying at first, but you don't aquire the best weapons until later into the game so the gameplay isn't hindered too much by switching to a slightly weaker weapon to just learn a new skill. The battles in FFTA is was draws you in. The various maps with many diffrent enviroments to work around, and also where you are positioned compared to the enemy will keep you coming back to the game. Each battle is diffrent and challenging. One battle you can try to fight off many archers, ninjas, wizards, and healers, and then the next battle would consist of dragons with status effect breath attacks and bomb-bombs. Overall, guiding your party through the grid base battle system is just fun like any other Strategy RPG that was made for the Game Boy Advance. What has been added to battles is laws. These restrict you from actually performing certian actions in battles, and each encounter the laws will be diffrent, which makes the game interesting. Sometimes laws can make the game annoying, such as not being able to perform physical attacks, but they do make the game more interesting than swarming around an enemy and chiping away at his Hit Points. This is a great game that any GBA user shouldn't go without.

Final Fantasy games can be found on pretty much any console nowadays. However, this follow-up to the original FFT game (PS1) is truly a work of art. This game is a wonderful blend of strategic gameplay and tactical action. You have to maintain your clan, level your characters, and take on various missions. However, strong characters arent goin to help you if you can't command them properly in the heat of battle. You must chose the right jobs for your characters and give them useful weapons and abilities. The game has a good story as well. Visual and audio effects are all good and well too. If your into Final Fantasy,or RPGs in general, this is a must have for your GBA.

This game is awesome. it provides tons and tons of replayability. the equipment selection is huge, the classes and their abilities are amazing, and the storyline is unique. this has got to be one of the best handheld RPG's ever!!!!!!!!!!!

FFTA is one of the most ingenious, addicting, and fun handheld games out there. This Strategy/RPG with the FF touch is a gem. The gameplay is brilliant. You find yourself in a very non-linear fantasy adventure with your clan made up of 5 races with many classes for each. Use hundreds of items as you fight on a gridded landscape, as it plays like an incredibly fun advanced chess of sorts. I have spent over 300 hours on this game. Buy it and you'll love it.

this is one of THE BEST games for GBA. good story, graphics, characters, missions, and countless options to tweak your clan. But one thing that got on my nerves was the common lack of missions to take, so i was stuck fighting clans that i didnt really want to engage with in the first place. the missions were usually plentiful, but at times there were only a couple, and those were the ones that i already cleared or was not capable of undertaking yet. but that doesnt change the fact that this was a great game. bravo square enix!
