Pokemon Dash

If there has to be Pokemon, let's just play a Pok?mon game.

Just like its title indicates Pokemon Dash is a Pokemon racing game. You frantically rub your stylus in front of Pikuchu on the touch screen to guide it along a variety of island courses against 5 other Pokemon. Occasionally you hitch a ride on balloons to float high above the islands to scout the route and then drop dramatically down onto a waypoint on the course.

The game depends primarily on how much fun you derive from rubbing the stylus and it's actually much more fun than it sounds. The balloon flying also presents a nice bombardier challenge. Poke-pals should also enjoy riding herd on Pikachu and seeing the other Pokemon in action. You even get Munchlax a new Pok?mon from the recent movie. Overall the visuals for creatures and terrain are crisp, sharp, and Pokemon-perfect even if the sounds are a little too sweet. Dash might not make much of a splash, but it should be a good kid-pleaser.
