WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2008 (Page 2 of 2)

Wii

On the Wii, SVR 2008 is a completely different affair, and it's really quite physical. It's all based around performing motions with the Wii Remote, but instead of assigning arbitrary motions to character movements like other Wii games, Remote motions in SVR somewhat simulate onscreen maneuvers.

For example, holding A or B and swinging the Wii Remote performs a grapple. Kicks and punches somewhat mimic the movement on the Remote. You can even unleash a "suck it" taunt by performing the actual "x-like" motion by crossing the nunchuck and Wii Remote.

DS

Even the DS has its own unique style of play that's not just a reproduction of 3D wrestling in low-res. You actually never even need to remove the stylus from the touchscreen. How it works is you choose a type of attack and perform a stylus motion to pull it off. The more brutal the attack, the harder the motion is to quickly pull of.

The best part on the DS comes with wireless play, where the first to pull off a move will land a hit. This is where stylus speed plays the biggest role. The DS also has the most diverse season mode that provides the most detailed "backstage" view into the backstage lives of each wrestler.

Each version has its benefits, so the choice is yours.
