Rainbow Six vs. Gears of War: Screenshot Fight!

Both are Unreal 3.0 games. So how does Vegas stack up to Gears? Let us investigate!

So we've heard this Gears of War game is pretty popular. That's the rumor, at least. On a serious tip, though, it's one of the best-looking games we've seen -- on any system. As most of you probably already know, it's based on Unreal Engine 3.0. And as it turns out, another UE3 game came out right on its heels: Rainbow Six Vegas. So you may be asking yourself, "Self, since RSV is also a UE3-based game, how does it stack up? Whoever do I turn to?"

Thankfully, GamePro is on the scene. What follows are some approximate parallels, using both cropped sections and resized images. The resized images have also been resampled, using some Photoshop voodoo that allows the screenshot to retain a pleasing amount of quality. They're not perfect, and JPEGs tend to come out darker than the bitmaps pulled from the frame buffer, but we try.
