5 Must-Own Xbox Live Arcade Games

Here are five new XBLA titles every gamer should download!

Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2

The insanely-addictive psychedelic arcade shooter Geometry Wars returns with Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2. This time, up to four players can partake in the explosive action at once as they rip airborne enemies to shreds with ammunition and bombs. If you thought the original game was a feast to the senses, wait till you get a load of the ultimate version of Geometry Wars.

Braid

You might not have heard about this little title which places you in the role of Tim in his noble quest to find the princess, but you'll definitely want to check out this game if you're any kind of a fan of Super Mario Bros. or Prince of Persia. In this puzzle-rich platformer, you have the power to manipulate time. Nobody likes dying in a video game, and in Braid all you have to do is hit the rewind.

Bionic Commando Rearmed

Capcom's popular NES fascist-blasting sidescroller has received an upgrade in Bionic Commando Rearmed. Everything down the last detail has been remade and overhauled to take advantage of the next-gen technology of the Xbox 360, including graphics, new areas and features. Fans of the original are in for a treat as Capcom even got the team from the original to consult in the creation of Rearmed.

Galaga Legions

The wildly popular 80s extraterrestrial insect zapping shooter has never looked better thanks to the power of the Xbox 360. In this graphically souped up remake, Galaga Legions, everything you see on screen still retains its oldschool charm while introducing new effects and visuals. Why play regular old Galaga when you can take part in the glory of Legions?

Castle Crashers

Who says beat-em-up games are dead? In Castle Crashers, four players can assume the role of knights, using a wide arsenal of weapons and magic, to smash through swarms of enemies. If there's one thing that sets Castle Crashers aside from the rest of the beat-em-up genre, it's the game's extremely unique art style.

I liked Alien Humanoid too. Also Assault heroes. Come to think of it there are a lot of great games. Can't believe Small Arms isn't in here.

I'm sorry, but all of these are Microsoft's Summer of Arcade games. Which is rather stupid IMO seeing as how summer is almost over.
