Winner of the GamePro Editor's Choice Award

Feature: BioShock vs. Halo 3 (Page 7 of 7)

Conclusion

WINNER: Halo 3, by one lone point.

Out of 9 categories, the breakdown was as follows:

BioShock: 4 -- Categories won: Story, Graphics, Sound, Single-player

Halo 3: 5 -- Categories won: Arsenal, Controls, Innovation, Replayability, Multiplayer

You can see that if you remove the multiplayer category, it would have been a tie at 4-4. But being as how multiplayer is Halo 3's most important feature, it would be unfair to axe it in this contest. If multiplayer were boxed and sold separately from Halo 3's single-player mode, it would be a different story. But until then, it's still viable to compare two $60 games, and people are still making that choice regardless of either game's laundry list of features.

Both BioShock and Halo 3 are classic shooters and hold up as two of the best games of all time. If you look at the results by category, it's easy to understand. If you're not much of an online gamer, BioShock is your best bet. If you consistently play on Xbox Live, you need Halo 3. But really, the final choice is simple: find the money to buy both.
