Mid-boss: Yondo-Worms


You should be able to take care of these guys with Base Mode. Make sure to shoot down all the bullets they send your way, and remember to turn around when they fly past you, otherwise you'll miss the hail of bullets from the front.


There are two times they try to ram you?each time, a well-timed glide (dash) will speed you out of harm's way. When they try it from behind, there shouldn't be any problems.


When they move to the sides of the level, quickly pick a direction, and when they start to emerge from the trees, glide through an open space to freedom. Indecision is costly.

Boss: Ikarakav


Mobo tells you all you need to know about this boss. First, use Glide Mode to find the boss' weak spot?the flower at his core. Use Base or Heavy Wing's lock-ons and blast it until it takes flight.


Your tactics shouldn't change much when the boss takes to the air. Every once in a while, the boss will turn around, so don't trust your dragon's Berserk ability to carry the fight for you.


Don't stay in front of him for long?one of his tendrils will bite you, so you have even more incentive to get behind him. There are two primary attacks the boss uses on you, both of which come from the flowers hanging from it. When you see one of them lift up, either concentrate your fire on it or ignore it until it pops.

If a swarm of bullets comes your way, don't panic. Glide Wing's shot will keep you from taking any damage, or you can glide out of the way of the slow-moving projectiles.


If it spawns enemies that fly around its base, watch the bottom of the screen. Use lock-ons or normal bullets to thwart their kamikaze attacks and get some extra points.
