High Class

This is a very impressive title. Everything from the menu screens to the graphics are just beautiful. I think it's better than PS2's Shinobi by far. The music is wonderful and really sets the mood. The game can get repetitive and the goals uninspired but not enough to hurt it. The main character controls well and looks so cool. There are a few camera issues but again not too bad. One thing that keeps it from a 5 is the magic meter. In the beginning I was just standing there enjoying the scenery and taking my time when I heard a urgent bonging sound. I didn't know what it was and then suddenly I was dead. I thought wait a minute I wasn't even in battle. If you take too much time your magic meter runs out unless you get more orbs. This happened to me time and time again and started to make me mad. Other than that there's no reason not to buy this beauty.

Otogi one of the best games out

I love this game from the great graphics, sick bosses and out of this world character design. The control take getting use to but when you do it brings the game to a whole new level. This is From Software's best game to date and one of the best Action game on the market yes Otogi is as good or better than Capcom's Devil May Cry and get this Software is already making a new Otogi how cool is that. I realy hope that they release that one here in the U.S because of what I saw Otogi: Hyakki Toubatsu Emaki should be better than the 1st. Don't think twice about buying Otogi: Myth of Demons (I 1st saw it in an ad in EGM and from that page I when and god it and you should do the same)If you want to have the most for from a game you have to buy Otogi.

Otogi

Otogi is a title that could have been alot better. The combat system is average at best. It is too easy which makes it too boring. The combat system in shinobi on the ps2 was better. The extra weapons and the way they affect your movement adds a nice twist as well as the extra items but none of the ideas in this game have enough depth to keep you interested. The visuals are very impressive and the enviroments are very destructable and there is alot of detail. This game isn't worth the fifty dollar price tag and your money is munch more well spent on Shinobi which is twenty bucks which is a great deal.

HMMM..not at all bad,but on the other hand

Otogi is one of those of those games that come so close to being a good game but doesnt quite make it. The graphics could have been improved, but the visual effects were top-notch and the ability to float through the air and defie gravity is a nice touch. The sound and conrols are okay but nothing great. The biggest flaw, however ishow repetitive the monsters are, fighting the same ones agin and agin thought a level gets a little old and the objectives of some levels are rather uninspired, like "find the four magical goblets". Otogi definatly worth a rental, but think about it first before buying.
