Summary

Game Description

Broken Steel and Point Lookout by Bethesda for Xbox 360 are add-on packs for Fallout 3. Broken Steel moves the level cap for your character from 20 to 30 and includes new perks and achievements. Travel to new locations, wield destructive new weapons, and fight powerful new creatures. Point Lookout opens up a massive new area of the Wasteland -- a, dark, murky swampland along the coast of Maryland. A completely new quest line lets you uncover the town's hidden secrets and wield powerful new weapons against the swamp's dangerous, and deformed denizens.

Great addition to a great game

Well if you haven't heard already..Fallout 3 is one of the best games for the 360 and in my opinion the best RPG I've played in a very long time. This is the add-on with broken steel and point lookout. Previous add-ons have not quite lived up to the game itself but I think these are just as good if not better than the original Fallout 3.

Point Lookout is a very long and detailed quest similar to The Pitt. A riverboat takes you around Maryland (I think state could be wrong). It takes you to an area that is spoken of many undiscovered treasures and many different species, locales, and wildlife. A few new guns are added on through these quests such as the Double Barrel Shotgun and the Lever Action Rifle.

Broken Steel is probably the best DLC I've come across in a long time. It raises the level cap from 20 to 30 (thank God) and adds on some killer new guns and very awesome quests and creatures. New Super Mutant Overlords, which are a pain to kill because they have very strong weapons in the new Tri-Beam Laser Rifle and the final fight between good and evil: Brotherhood vs. Enclave.

Along with Broken Steel, I will say that Bethesda dodged a big bullet in finding a way to continue the story line. Without giving a way spoilers, I think its simple and creative and has kept me playing the game through and through again.

Baby Ruth?

I recently finished the "Point Lookout" DLC, and I have to say it's my favorite so far ( I've beaten all of them except "Mothership Zeta"). It brings something different to the table and is a welcomed change of scenery from the bland Capital Wasteland. It also feels somewhat like a cut from a horror movie. It took me about three hours to beat all the main quest missions along with two of the side quests. The biggest pain was getting the "Bog Walker" achievement where you have to discover all of P.L's locations, but you do get a hefty 40 points out of it.

Another plus : the "Tracker" enemies look an awful lot like Sloth from "The Goonies"!

Bring a lot of Rad Away. You'll need it. You'll be doing a lot of swimming and trudging through swamp land.
