Wolverine and i share a taste in beards
This game is very very fun its like Kratos was re-skinned with claws and thrown into the X-men universe. This game is extremely well done for a movie game.
Although the camera sometimes lags a bit and the enemies are near semi retarded sometimes running into my lunges i would defenetly give this a go. While most movie games just suck **** and some are 1 day rentals at best this game I kept for a full 5 days its very action packed and gory as hell on wheels. I enjoyed this game a little to much with almost 3 play throughs "did the bar fight and last boss like 14 times haha" but if your not a fan of hack'n'slash or are just not an X-men fan I'd recommended a rent. Thanks for reading. Timsobe

Even Wolverine Can't Heal Completely on this One
First off: this game is amazing. Let's get this out of the way. I was wondering if any counterpart to the God of War franchise would ever come (ported or not) to the 360 console. And it has. And it is comparable.
And the gameplay is simply fantastic. The graphics are a slightly lacking, but every once in awhile the protagonist does have likenesses of Hugh Jackman. But the gameplay is simply fantastic! I know I've stated this, but it needs to be emphasized. You don't play pretty games that aren't fun to play. Combos are fun, though slightly tedious to pull off, but leaping from foe to foe and dismembering them becomes a furious frenzied free-for-all of fun. The sound is pretty noticeable. The claws coming out and retracting along with the general striking of any object makes the game come to life.
There are many achievements to strive for, costumes to discover, difficulties to unlock, but there is one imperfection here, one heel of Achilles: the plot.
It cuts back and forth from the jungle mission alluded to in the movie and back, but with little rhyme, rhythm, or reason. The flow is just... off. And to spread out the gameplay, little tangents were created (including slaying a Sentinel!) to give the formula a bit more of a meaty action-filled completion time. The idea is both a good and bad thing.
But this is to be expected. Let's face it. People don't buy games adapted from movies that are adapted from comic books expecting a Vonnegut screenplay. This is candy for the brain, and my sweet tooth was hankering for some of this.

Here is my take.
This is one good movie baes game. And it show it. It lack of some the content that was in the movie. But maybe that will be added when they bring out DLC for this game. And game was kind of buggy. And as much I like this game. I can't give this a full five star rating. And I will give it one star less of that. And I will give it a four out of five. And gamepro staff. If you do not like it. You can bite me. Becoues this what I think.

It's no God of War but it's just as gory and still very fun.
From the opening cinematic you're going to know why there's a giant M slapped on the cover of this game. It earns it's M rating, and it's damn fun. It is almost a clone of God of War, you can upgrade your claws, health, special attacks, and pretty much anything else. The more experience you gain the higher your skill level (kind of like an rpg), the higher your skill level the more moves, special attacks, and more damage you can take. Your health works in a really neat way. You start to lose chunks of your skin the more damage you take, once it gets to a certain point you have to give yourself time to regenerate because your organs are exposed and enemies can kill you easier. My biggest problem with the game is that yes it does get repetitive. The game is still very fun but there are times when you'll get sick of doing the same basic combos over and over. The boss fights are lame and take forever. Like when you have to fight a giant molten rock (there's a lot of them in the game), all you do is roll around and lunge on top of it when it leaves itself open and start clawing away at it and you have to keep doing this until the damn thing dies. When you first start out you'll probably lunge at it at least 10 times but once you upgrade your claws it'll go by a lot faster but it's still tedious and annoying. The lunge is badass. You hold down LB to lock on to your enemies and once you're locked on you push RB to jump towards the enemy. This is something you can't upgrade, the whole game you can only lunge a certain distance. The story has a big problem with jumping around. I know that it's suppose to be an "origin" but the story isn't all that great and do you really care about the story when you're clawing someones arm off? Probably the coolest thing in the whole game is that when you beat the game you can play as wolverines original blue and yellow costume, and if you're an old school fan then this is incredibly cool. If you love God of War and it's gameplay (like I do) then I highly recomend you check this game out. It's not a perfect game but when was the last time you played a game based off a movie worth playing? Having it be similair to God of War is by no means a bad thing especially when it's fun.
