  • The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PS3)

What you're about to read is my second attempt to review Dark Athena. My first review was too critical of Dark Athena because, when compared to Escape from Butcher Bay-a remake is included on the disc and I highly recommend you play it first-it looks a little weak. But I started over again when I realized that Dark Athena isn't a stand-alone title so much as it is a complement to Butcher Bay; that's when it dawned on me that I should be treating the two titles as a total package. In that light, Dark Athena starts to shine a hell of a lot brighter.

  • The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena Review

For all of its faults, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena could be a decent first person shooter, but following its predecessor, Escape from Butcher Bay is similar to following the Beatles or rolling Stones ? you?ve got to do something new and exciting to make your audience forget about what came before. Sadly, Dark Athena tries nothing new and gives us a hackneyed version of a much loved game engine. Hey, at the very least it?s better than Wheelman?

Surprisingly Great.

I did not expect that much of this game. It looked okay I guess. I just got because it was spring break and I was bored. Actually this game is one of my favorite game from 09 so far. The visuals look pretty good, Vin Diesel's voice sounds great in this game, I like the controls and gameplay, I love how stealthy and shadowy this game is, it's intense, fun and has two games, so not only do you get more bang your buck, there is lots more content. Multi is really bad, though. Good game, I especially recommend this to stealth lovers. - wuff
