Summary

Game Description

Eliminating much of the Grand Theft Auto-style gameplay that defined its predecessor, The Godfather II continues the storyline of the Corleone family on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. You'll still choke shop owners and rival gang members with the game's signature Blackhand combat system, but you'll also be able to view the action from a broad, strategy meta-game called Don's View.

The best game ever! apart from Gears of War , Bioshock , CoD 4 , CoD 5 and Halo 3

This game is one of the best games i would ever play , it makes GTA look mediocre.
There isn't really any boss fights at all but there is assasanations like you would do a favor for someone and they would give you intel on a certain rival member of another gang and don't think "oh great you have to go and do things for others to kill someone" okay it is actually pretty fun because you get to kill a person or bash them up or whatever it tells you to do , oh yeah there is a thing called kill conditions and that is wear you have to do the spicific thing that it says to do to eliminate them for good and if you don't kill them by the kill condition they will just go to hospital and soon be back up on there feet.
The storyline is great but you should watch the godfather movies or play the first to enjoy the story a bit more because it'll help you understand it abit more.
Some people say that the first is better and alot say that the second is better and personally i think they are both great games but i enjoyed the second way more than the first.
You are able to create a character but your name is Dominic , you are able to pick who you want as your crew and the good thing is they have speciality and it is a very good thing like say as oh you have a demolitions person they will be able to blow up a building completely or blow up a wall and if you have a engineer it will cut open a fence.
You can promote your men into higher ranks which gives them a second speciality of your choice.
You have to take over businessess from rival gangs and you do that by threatening the owner or by finding his weakness like if it was a electronic shop you destroy there TV's and stuff and it'll scare them so you make a deal and own there business.
after you own a business you can get guards to protect it and the most guards i have had on one business about 32 guards.
After you take over all there businessess that belong to that gang they will retreat to there compound and you have to blow it up to kill the leader of the gang there is a short way of taking out gangs and you just take over there businessess and go straight for the compound and kill the boss and after that even the ones you didn't kill die but i think it is funner to kill them before i kill the boss and anyway it makes the game alot longer.
Overall i loved this game and hope that there is a third and now since i saw all the movie's i am a big fan of the godfather.
By David and thank you for reading this and for taking your time.

  • Apr. 7, 2009 Review: The Godfather II (360)

It was bound to happen eventually. Grand Theft Auto's success gave birth to so many imitators that it was just a matter of time before someone found a way to out-Rockstar Rockstar. That's exactly what EA has accomplished with Godfather II - it improves upon the 'crime boss' aspect of GTA and becomes the experience by which other crime games must be judged. It isn't the best open-world game out there but it does a sublime job of capturing what it feels like to be the head of a virtual crime family.
