Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad - Xbox 360

It actually is fun

I was actually talked out of buying a copy of this game at the Gamestop. The guy at the store said that it was silly and the boobs on the characters were too jiggly, that if I wanted a nice cheesecake game, try Dead or Alive.

I went ahead an passed ont the game, but later, I still felt ilke I wanted to play it, so I picked up a used copy.

This is a great game.

I can understand why the official Gamepro reviewer didn't like the game. No offense, but she is a woman. There's no female level to this game, and I'd expect her to like it about as much as I'd expect the typical guy to like the latest Jane Austen movie.

It is good in that it's fun, you kill lots of zombies, and there's replay value in both powerups and also customizing the characters.

Understand that this game isn't for everyone. A mainstream woman won't like the game, but a mainstream guy who likes action, enjoys decent level of challenge and likes action games with RPG elements (character leveling), then you'll like the game.

One slight problem with the game is the camera performance. You have to tap the right thumbstick to re-orient it sometimes. other than that, I have no issues.

As far as the characters: I didn't like the Saki character. But the others are fine.

Sexy, violent fun for 40 bucks - A real deal!

Ok folks, get one thing straight right now - this game is for the T&A, blood, and swords. Anyone who plays it should not be playing it to save the world - they should be playing it to make nasty things explode in a shower of blood.

The "Onechanbara" series has NEVER been about deep, involving storylines or introspective character development - it was always about the male fan-service of boobs, butts, blood, swords, and slicing & dicing, and all of it wrapped up in a budget B-movie storytelling quality (to match its budget game status).

I'll admit the motorcycle level was pretty.. umm... rough to handle, but the rest of the time I've played it, I found the controls very responsive and the combos easy to mix and match into nice chains for maximum airborne bloodiness! There are those of us who do not want "Quicktime Events" or 50 button-press combo's - we just want to relax and cause as much mindless havoc as possible in a virtual world...

Also, the female models for the characters are nice and trim and confident - they look good and they know it, even when killing undead mutations. Aya is hawt, Saki is cute, and Annna is easy MILF material, and all three of them are a pleasure for these eyes to watch in action.

All I can say is this: Just like the other game from this publisher (Earth Defense Force 2017), you will either love it or hate it. EDF 2017 also got panned and I found it mindless fun also - money well spent! It isn't everyone's cup of tea, and certainly not for "highly educated" and easily offended politically correct people, but for mindless, sexy, violent, zombie-killing fun, it has been the most fun I have had button mashing in a long time!

Run to the hills!

I'll be honest. I got this game for the hot chicks. After an hour of playing I couldn't believe I played it that long. It's is so bad on so many levels. Run, run away and never look back. I'm sticking to my DOA.
