Raiders of the Lost Lego

It seems the idea of taking classic movies licenses and making them into lego based videogames is all the rage these days. The latest lego remake is that of Indiana Jones, the beloved archaeologist. The game plays alot like Lego Star Wars with lots of character switching required to solve puzzles and make it through stages. Though fun, this can it tedious. The story is just that of the Indy movies! The game plays through all the major/key scenes in the 3 original movies. It's great to see the scenes come to life in all their lego glory. The graphics, though nothing technically or special, are colorful and fun, just as you'd expect from legos. The gameplay is mainly lots of puzzle solving and character swapping as well as alot of simple combat. It's simple and fun. Overall, if you enjoyed Lego Star Wars and are a fan Indy, this game is at least worth a rental. You will have a blast while it lasts.

Shut your eyes, Marion. Don't look at it, no matter what happens.

I will admit that this game brings together two of my childhood loves. Legos, the building blocks that brought out my creativity as a child, and Indiana Jones, who kept my brave when I was scared. I also must say, that I love Lego Star Wars. I thought it was spectacular! Very creative, very engaging, and ultimately just plain fun for everyone!

Now, I thought to myself, "This has everything going for it! Indy, lego, and the Lego Star wars engine!

However, as much as I hate to have fell pray to this, I did... We didn't just have one Indiana Jones dissapointment this year, we have this second one as well.

The game just can't even touch Lego Star wars. It tries, it really does, but in the end, there's nothing really too fun about this installment. Sure you get to use a real gun, and fight with Indy's rock hard, badass knuckles, in epic fisticuff struggles... but it doesn't feel the same. And also, this is a movie that requires alot of talking, and I'm quite sorry to say, the body language and murmering just won't cut it.

It's acceptable, but ultimately, passable. Do yourself a favor, and don't get too excited about Lego Batman either.

This is the same as the lego stars wars just with an indiana Jones twist. Some more of the good stuff.

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures - Xbox 360

Pros Cons
Intense action Braindead computer AI

Simple and great

Lego Indy is just one of those games -- it's not fancy, it's not sophisticated, and it's not a miracle of production values. It just is. It's a fantastic platform/action/collectible game, and though its gameplay is simple, it's insanely addictive. It's a great game for players of all ages.
