Borderlands is a wonderful game, being a RPS. Developer Gearbox wanted to give users a new experience, and that's exactly what they did. The game is meant to give players a sense of satisfaction when playing the game, and it does exactly that. Fighting the bosses, on the other hand, is completely different. The game boasts "87 Bazillion guns", and while that is true it is in a different way that many people thought of. The character design is lacking, only allowing you to change the clothes' colors, but since you don't see the character it really isn't important. The RPG element of skills is added to give the player a sense of involvement, allowing you to choose between three skill trees, building them up any way you wish.
The action for the most part is almost never-ending, except for the times when you have to drive or walk to your next destination. The game Allows you to kill your enemies in interesting ways by the use of elements. The four current elements are shock, which is used to destroy the enemies shield, flame, used for Damage over Time, and corrosive, which allows you to easily kill armored foes, and gives any attacks done to the enemy while under the corrosive effect bonus damage. Another interesting aspect of the action is the many guns available to the players. While the game boasts 87 bazillion guns, they are just different variations of said guns. Not saying that is bad or anything.. Who doesn't want a sniper that sets enemies on fire, or a pistol that never has to be reloaded? They limit your inventory space as well as how many weapons you can carry at a time, causing you to pick the best combination of weapons for your character. Controls for this game are very fluid, allowing you to shoot and run like any other shooter game. The menu is easily navigable, except during splitscreen play. Because you and a friend are sharing a screen, the menu is cut in half, making you scroll through the screen with the right analog stick. While not taking much out of gameplay, it could get sticky when you need to use a health pak real quick.
The game can be quite easily when you play by yourself, but the online multiplayer allows you to play with up to four more people, increasing the difficulty to a new degree of wtf. Many enemies become very hard to kill without going down yourself, making you use cover more and rely on teammates for help.
The bosses are not left out, either. They increase their difficulty, but also give better loot when killed. The bosses storyline can be quite interesting, but also lacking in the sense of rewards. Most guns from the bosses are worthless and are just sold to the shop or put on a mule.
While the bosses story is intriguing, the difficulty level on solo is quite laughable. Easily tricked AI allows for shoot the boss off the area, instantly killing him. Considering the enemy AI, though, it's not much worse then the character's action skills AI, mainly Roland and Mordecai. Mordecai's action skill bloodwing gets stuck behind objects, circles around the enemy or just doesn't attack, and if you're relying on him for health drops, be prepared to be disappointed. Roland's turret can be the same way, shooting at nothing. The multiplayer allows you to play with four people, but that is if you can find them. Other than setting up a party beforehand, it's neigh impossible to find a good group of people to play with. Many people turn to multiplayer when the game itself becomes a bore because of it's repetitive nature. However, this can easily be diverted with a patch or even DLC to appease the fans' rants. The first DLC released by gearbox is dated November 24th, and it's titled "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned"

Borderlands is a great combo of fps and rpgs
Borderlands has yet to let me down, i am a level 20 hunter and have had 2 boss battles, if you are into first person shooters you will love this peace of work. the multiplayer isnt the best but is very fun to do with your friends, but caution you will get better loot with more people but the enemies will also get stronger. it is no rumer when people say the guns are completely random every once and a while you will come across a gun that looks the same but if you check the stats they are in no way alike, i have only gone over alittle of why this is a great game, but take my word for it, it is great and its like the fallout 3 with vehicles and multiplayer you never had.( look out by the end if the year there will be DLC for borderlands called Dr. Ned's Zombie Island)

Borderlands
this is the newest gearbox game. it is a crossover of a RPG, and a FPS. it is one of the best multiplayer game out there. there is a single player mode, but thats not much fun. the single player, and multiplayer modes fallow the same story with no differences. you can have up to 4 players in a multiplayer game. the number of people in your game affect how strong you enemy's are, and how strong the items they drop are. you can pick from one of 4 different character classes. each one having there own unique ability. the 4 class types are Berserker, Siren, Hunter, and Soldier. there isn't much customization of your character.all you can do is edit there name, and colors. you should rent this first before buying it, because you might not like it. if you like it you should buying.

Fantastic
So i had no clue what borderlands was, then i was informed it was a rpg/fps with loads of guns and content. I wasnt fully sold but wow does this game hook you by the nostril and make you scream for more. Fantastic new of visuals. The animations for all guns are great. The challenge is always there from the very beginning throughout the entire game as far as i've played. It's highly enjoyable from blasting through 15 enemies at once to strategically picking of bandits one by one with your sniper rifle. Everything floats together perfectly. Controls are spot on and and did i say the graphic was fantastic yet. The comic book really gives you pleasure when you blow the head of an enemy that's shootin and tootin towards your direction. Either way nothing has kept me from enjoying this game. Multiplayer and Single player are spot on and the pure enjoyment of leveling up and getting your next setup is plain addictive. I dont buy games often i usually rent but this is a keeper. GO out and GET IT.
