Just plain fun

So far its a good game. I have gets got to the part were I use the gate boom. I have notice some similarity with Halo. The only disappointment I have is that the bad guys have all the shields and talent. I expshley like the green men that can teloport, and the red men that can fly and shoot fire. The fastest way to kill them is by punching them a couple times. All in all it is a fun game.

copycat game

This game is purely influenced by three games. Halo, Lost Planet, and Mass Effect. But not as good as either one. When you play it it becomes very very apparent. If you ever wondered what Halo would be like as Lost Planets 3rd person shooter this is it. It's very contrived. It has the same Halo shooter jumping around like a Kangaroo game mechanic. It is challenging to take someone down like Halo and Lost Planet as everyone is shielded. That's where you have to develop your skill. Instead of Lost Planets grapple and summersaulting you have the entrencher which enables you to deform the landscape which is cool. It is the games only saving grace otherwise it would be very generic. It looks like Mass Effect and it seems like Mass Effects lost multiplayer. The weapons are more similar to Mass Effects weapons. A lot of people are going to hate this game. If you love Halo but you are bored with it you will probably like this game for awhile but not forever. It seems like that was the game developers target audience. Bored Halo players. And it's Halo players that dominate this games multiplayer. If you don't like Halo or Lost Planet don't buy this game. It is not for you. It will all depend on your mood. Play the demo before you buy it or even rent it. It will be the best indicator if you will like it or not.

Fracture

Fracture is one of the best futuristic Shooter games i have played since DOOM3 (not big on halo at all) I would rate it a 4/5 amazing game play and graphics but something is missing, the aiming could be improved but that's just my opinion. I recommend this game to all fans of the shooter genre.

Most action gamers are used to environments that remain static, no matter how much havoc you cause but Fracture brings something new to the table: its "terrain deformation" concept let's you change the very ground you, and most importantly, your opponents are standing on. It might sound like a gimmick but it actually pays off in a tangible way; it's just too bad that the rest of the game isn't as forward-thinking.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Yes, the gameplay is hinged upon a single unique concept but the terrain deformation "gimmick" is executed nicely, turning what is otherwise a vanilla shooter into something fairly interesting and decent.
