Starcraft Appetizer
Well For starters this game introduced 2 good things which is Achievements which help gameplay and a ok RTS story line. With 3 different class all with a speciality. Long story short the Hierarchy invades Earth to turn its inhabitants and belongings into raw material, then, army of sentient machines called Novus arrives to battle the Hierarchy. Their fighting awakens a long-lost race the Masari. With the Hierarchy they have huge walkers which can be turned into fortress or produce smaller units. The Novus have a teleportaion ability and have a run and gun style. While the Masari have light and dark sides where in light mode they fly and use range attacks and in dark mode the melee you. The visuals are realitively good but the zoom function is annoying and hard to change. Multiplayer is good and acts like any regular RTS's with start points around the map. You battle things out around the world in both single player and multiplayer. Nothing is really new but it's stepping in the right direction. Hopefully Halo Wars can step things up and deliver what you want from this genre. Rental first is what i shall suggest. Still I put it on my wish list and later the series may just show promise.

Universe at War: Earth Assault
Universe At War is like a breath of fresh air that carries with it the vague stench of something foul. It offers three interesting and diverse sides, great graphics, and some tantalizing strategic elements but it's afflicted by some unfortunate quirks that hold the game back.
