  • Shake,Rattle and Roll with the new Rock Band 2!

As if the mere thought of another Rock Band so soon wasn't shock enough for you. How about the ability to have all the DLC added to your game as well as music from the original disc. This will push the set list for the game to an all time high, especially since Rock Band 2 will already have over 100 songs from an Unrivaled Blend of Classic, Developing and New Artists. This is big news for Harmonix and will definitely keep people happy since a lot of content was put on DLC for the first game. Also DLC will keep on flowing onto the market since they will be ported over to the next installment anyway, so don't expect them to slow down for one second on the albums and packs released on a weekly basis.

Rock Band Review.

Better late than never, well lets start this. I played this game because of the drums. But whats the most important thing about this game? Yes, the music and I was highly disappointed with it, there was like 4 or 5 good songs. Its great that it has drums but you need better songs. But overall god to play.

Don't Start a Band when you have Rock Band

Rock Band is one of my favorite games on the 360 and with good reason. It has a great soundtrack on-disc, even more music on the "Music Store", and the peripherals are a blast to play. The drums is the like the major selling point. Everyone bought Rock Band to try out the drums. They are awesome. My only complaint is that the drums' pedal is very weak and can break easily. This game is 10x better when you play it with friends. You can also play against other people online. Overall, its a must-own.

I REALLY like this game, and what it did for the genre. It was only a few years ago that this genre REALLY took off an thanks to this title it is continuing its upward momentum. The drums are a huge hit for me and the set list is robust.

Still my biggest complaint is lack of bands/songs that I know and like. I also don't like the fact that I have to play the SAME SONGS over and over again in Tour mode in order to advance (there are only so many times I can play "learn to fly" before I go crazy).

All in all this is the epitome of a party game and perfect when I have friends over!

The original Rock Band is responsible for pushing the Guitar Hero formula to the next level -- drums, vocals, and ample DLC. Unfortunately, the cheap plastic guitars and iffy drum pad don't feel as solid as the ones from Guitar Hero III. I also had a real problem with the confusing interface: getting four drunken players to cooperate on the character selection screens is a real chore. Rock Band 2 looks better in every way, but the surprise is that Guitar Hero: World Tour looks like the new king in this space -- the guitar and drum peripherals are superior.

Rockband quite literally rocked our worlds when it first hit the scene in 2007. When we had the privilege of previewing the game in the GamePro office, there was always a group of folks staying late or coming in on weekends to play the game. If it can make us want to spend even more time with our stinky, smelly co-workers... imagine how fun it is with your friends.
