Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation - Xbox 360

It's not bad, but it ain't great

To be honest, I kinda have a liking to Ace Combat since AC4: Shattered Skies. That was an ok game too, and AC6 follows suit as a serviceable game that really doesn't need a plot (and quite frankly should'nt bother trying to a plot in it). Plot problems aside, it's a great flying game, with a good bevy of planes to choose from. Stay away from the bombers unless you're flying in the plane they first give you at the start and it'll save you quite a bit of grief. Other than that I really have no other complaints, but I recommend renting it instead of buying. Most gamers will get done with it in at least two playsittings.

not enough

extremely good graphics and game play but the only the down side to the game that i found was that the save points are to spread out. I have recently purchased this game and only in level 9 but i cannot stop playing it and would really recommend it just be ready to play for hours

Ace Combat 6

The graphics for this game where just amazing. The one thing I really didn't like were how long the missions were. I played the missions for so long that I actually got beord with it. The story line was pretty good also.

Best jet fighter game to date

I must say that this was one of those game franchises that almost made me rebuy a ps2. I loved the other games so much it would have been worth it. So imagine my joy when it came to the 360. Graphics some of the best looking around. Only bad thing I noticed was on one of the older games you could see the glass cover above you in the cockpit. Were did it go? That being said it looks great from water to planes to mountains to valleys and cities, I did feel the cities needed to appear to be a little bigger I felt the scale was off a little. Maybe its just me. Story I loved the story The only part I hated was hearing repeated go fly with the angels. Other then that it was a nice break between missions. It would have also done well with a call of duty type story or a news reporter speaking more from another country and then same from it. That being said it kept you involved and made you feel you were needed. The only mission I hated was one called fortress. trying to fly through caves with a small jet sucks and its not meant to happen. Other then that they all felt good. Reply value is high, unlocking everything is not easy. The biggest negative to the whole game is finding down loadable content and finding out they expect you to pay for different paint designs and better custom fighters. 3-4 dollars of real money for each adds up to fast. These how ever are not needed to play the gme and have a great time.
